POW=5 nice depth and continuation of the eye with the "light at the end of the tunnel" thing going on here, i would like to see it with the whole entrance centered instead of cut off at top/bottom and shifted to the side.
You have a really nice variety of photographs. In particular, I enjoyed #5, 8, and 12 which just so happen to all involve staircases. In these photographs the lighting from the doorway is very striking. Out these three, my favorite and the POW is 5. The tonal quality in the photo is great and really gives it a sense of mystery.
The grain in photo number 8 looks really cool. I like the contrast between light and dark in photo number 4. Your POW is your self portrait, number 7 because of the way your personality is represented with the background and facial expression.
Photo #9 is your POW because the lighting is great. I like the subject of the photo being the skull and its reflection in the window. I also really like photo #4 because of the way it is lit. The light coming from behind the window in the dark room creates a great image. Good work!
Aubrey, I love all of your pictures. Photo 5 is your POW i think. It has a great tone to it and an interesting angle. The contrast between the dark walk way and then the light on the stairs is also great. I also like the focus on one object in photo 2 and what I think is a reflection in photo 3.
Hi Aubrey. I really like photo 5 for its play with shadow and also the framing of the shot. But, for me, photo 4 would be my choice for your POW. I love the utter darkness of this photo and how you can feel the light behind the shade struggling to push its way into the room. Great use of shadow and light as well as embracing the idea of mystery.
My POW is photograph 4. The lighting in this picture is beautiful. There is so much darkness but the peeking of the light, brightly exposed, creates a depth for the picture.The light is trying very hard to engulf the room. The viewer has to guess if the light is trying to make its way in or the darkness is resisting it, making it unable for the light to push through. There's a lot of symbolism in this picture. It is very beautifully captured as well and the way you off centered the window makes it that much for beautiful. Also, your self portrait 7 is very unique. I love how you only captured a part of your body, leaving the rest to question.
Hey Aubrey I really enjoy your collection. I think all of your photos are very beautiful and well thought out. I am mostly intrigued by photo #12. I love how the staircase appears as though that it could either be going up or down. I think your POW is photo #4. I love the dramatic contrast between the black walls and the bright light from the window. I think it is really interesting how you chose to emphasize only the outline of the window. I also really like how you chose to shoot this photograph. I think it makes it much more interesting that it is shot off the the side and at a bit of an angle.
Hey Aubrey! I really enjoyed all your photos but I think your POW should be number 5. You really captured the depth in the photo and such a contrast between the tunnel and the light at the end I just really thought was great. I also love number 4 just because of the color really stands out because it's not pure white.
Hi, Aubrey! Lovely black and white collection, my favorites are numbers 5, 7, and 8. I like five because you have strong leading likes and a focus of attention. You also utilize the contrast of the light snow with the dark stone and shadows, creating a mysterious looking photo that is still very clean. I like number 7 because your model is centered well and she has an interesting contrast with the wall, her dark hair and light skin. I like number eight the best however. I appreciate that you utilized movement in this shot. It is whimsical yet provoking because of the tone and movement. And for that, I vote number 8 as your POW!
Hi Aubrey! I'd vote that your POW is #5. I like the minor tint to the picture and the brightness of the foreground versus the small amount of light at the end of the tunnel. I also like that it isn't centered. It adds depth to the picture that might not have been there had it been centered.
I really like #s 6 and 8. I like the motion number 8. The stairs, again, add depth to the picture that makes the picture nice. The small beam of light coming from the top and the added grain in the photo give it a nice texture too. Photo 6 also has good texture with all of the patterns and it makes the picture feel more alive.
POW=5
