Hi Hynda! Very nice photos! I like #9 because it shows the texture of your hair! I also really like #'s 11, 12 and 13 because the shadows are fantastic! For your POW, I vote for #12 because I love the contrast of the white snow against the pitch black darkness behind it! Very mysterious!
9 i like the depth and texture 12, 13, good use of contrast and hard lighting makes an nice composition POW 12, it seems so isolated and mysterious, kind of like the last place to stop before entering that black void of a road
Hynda, i like your photos. I think 10 is a great picture. I like the way your dark hair and pants seem to contrast with a mostly white room. I also like 12. The shadows and lighting make it look creepy and mysterious. At the same time, It makes me wanna see where that light is coming from. I would definitely say 12 for your POW.
The lighting in your last three photographs is really amazing. The small amounts of light contrasts really well with the darkness in the remaining areas of the photograph. With that being said, i think your POW is #12 because I really enjoy the outdoor scene that you have captured. Upon looking at the picture, my eyes are immediately attracted to the snow that the light focuses on.
Hello, I really like your photos. You do really great work with the lighting, namely photos 11, 12, and 13. I also like the way you frame your photos, they are each framed so originally and create unique images. Photo 12 is your POW because I am impressed with the way you captured the light and contrasted it with the darkness outside.
Hynda, a few of your photos are probably some of the best examples of really understand how to use shadow and contrast to their greatest extent. Love photo 11 with the darkened room as the light appears to be trying to burst through the seems of the window shade. The desk is still completely apparent and yet fades into darkness in a way that implies loneliness (at least to me). Photo 12...wow..just fantastic. You've covered all your bases with this one. Mystery for sure..I am wondering what is going on in that little building; just what is the story there. The utterly black sky and the works wonderfully against the lit up snow on the ground. This photo also does a great job of expressing loneliness and isolation. However, what you did with photo 8 is absolute art! It is clear to me that this is some sort of piece of furniture but, you've managed to create a landscape almost as beautiful as one created by mother nature. This feeling of a field below and clouds above as they meet into the darkness of the horizon.. just great! This is my POW choice for you.
Hynda, a few of my favorites are 5, 10 and 13. #13 is my POW choice for you-I am absolutely astonished! I love how dark the room is compared to the light that you captured. It is a very simple picture, but the drastic contrast between the extremely dark room and the bright light has me wondering what else is in the room. The lamp/light appears to stand alone as it lets off a shadow, but this photo is truly worth a thousand words. There is so much hidden within the room and I want to find out more!
10 is such a great self portrait. There is a great contrast between the bright white walls, and the darkness in your clothing and shoes. I also enjoy how you do not look posed for this picture. It is very raw, unposed picture and your facial expression looks very candid.
Hi Hynda! I really love number 11 and think that should be your POW. The way the light glows coming in from behind the curtain just works perfectly with this picture and really makes it pop. I also enjoyed number 5 just because of all of the different shades and reflections going on. Really enjoyed all of your pictures.
Hi Hynda! You have a lot of abstract photos but I think they're all really well done. I like #5 because of it's simplicity. The birds eye point of view is really cool and the shadows on the dishware turned out nice because the photo isn't too bright.
Your self-portrait #10 is another favorite. I really like the highlights and another part that I really like is the couch in the foreground. It brings my eyes around and they end up to where you're sitting. The small bit of color gives it warmth, too.
I think your POW should be #13. I love the complete darkness behind the buidling and the only light coming from behind the door gives the picture an eerie feeling. The texture in the snow gives it a more realistic feeling of uneasiness of the mystery behind the darkness.
My favorites and 2, 4, 11 and 13. I think many of your photos had great framing and with that many of your close ups created a lot of mystery. You also have a great use of playing with shadow and reflected light. I like the darkness of many of your shots. POW-13
