nice contrast between the purple and yellow, the randomness of the hanging lights creates good mystery because they are unusual and the hints of library in the background make me think its a very cool room

  2. I really enjoyed the emotion behind your self portrait number 1. I think it really captures an intense moment that could be interpreted in many ways which adds to the mystery of your character. I really liked how you were interested in looking at the body in pieces and not as a whole in photo B&W number 2. My favorite photo is number 10 because I really like the mystery behind the piece. The location is uncertain and the angle adds to the mystery. I also really enjoy utilizing and manipulating light.

  4. I think your POW is #10 because I like the warmth of the photo. The overall tone of the photo is also great. Photo #6 is very cool. I like the way you framed the shot close to the corner and did not just take a photo of the wall straight-on.

  5. Hi Kajal. I really liked what was happening in your self-portrait 1. You captured an apprehension in your eyes and I like the way your hair is falling across your face. There is a decent amount of mystery involved in this photo and you captured strong emotion. I really like photo 9 the slight redness to the coloration really adds to the contrast between the darkness of the fence against the white snow. I think your POW is photo 10. Again the slight coloration created a warmth and added depth to the photo. The way the lights works against the darkness of the background is a nice contrast.

I love how your focus is all about the light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. This is not your typical B&W photo either. The natural light that the bulbs radiate against the dark background reminds me of the olden days. The background is extremely dark so my attention was focused just on the bright light from above. It is fascinating looking at how each of the wires around the light bulbs appear to be different. There is so much detail in the light bulb coverings that I think typically would go unnoticed in a real life setting.

  7. I definitely think your pow is 10. I love the way the lights almost look like a pattern. The tone of the picture also is great it really shows the warmth of the lights. I also really like 3. The way the ladder crossed the books gives the photo a nice boundary that makes it really interesting to look at.

  8. I would have to say #5.

The Construction of the work: the shot uses visual and technical tools such as shapes and geometry, nice shadows, and is very busy which make it more dynamic and mysterious.

The Communication of the work: The photo can be read pretty well. The content doesn't really resonate with my own interests, but it's a unique photo. I do find it appealing and aesthetically pleasing though.

The Conception of the work: I'm seeing a sort of abstract pattern of motivation for the majority of these photos. I notice a lot of photos of shapes and different odd designs, so I can see the sort of interests you've developed.

    Great job

  9. My favorites are 2, 9, and 10. Pictures of feet are definitely overdone however the angle you took the shot is interesting and allows some attitude to be presented. In 9 I think the contrast in coloring works very well and in addition you captured some depth of field with focus on the fence in the foreground. POW numero 10.
