Hey Sean, cool photos! I thought #12 was really neat because of the way you framed it and the clock at the top really balances out the photo! #11 is neat too because it's just different from what I have seen on other blogs! It's mysterious! As for your POW, I would choose #7 because I think that was a great idea for you to capture glass wine bottles with their shadows behind them. And I like that there's light bouncing off of the bottles too!
Saen, I really like your pictures. I think that 11 is a really awesome photo. I like the contrast between the dark color of the statue and the light color of the person holding it. I think the concept is really neat. Also I really like 7. The shadows of the bottles make this picture look awesome. They seem to be looming over the bottles. I would say that 11 should be your POW.
nice self portrait 12, the way you have the wall framed compared to you, and the clock at the top creates great continuation pow = 2, interesting relationship between the shadows and posts/ foreground and background, with the contrast adding nice depth
Hey Sean, I like your self portrait! All of the photos look great. Photo number 10 is really cool because everything is out of focus except the hands, which are very distinct. The lighting and composition of photo number 2 is awesome! I would say your POW is number 12, the self portrait because it is not a typical self portrait, and the white wall and clock add depth to the background. Keep up the good work!
Sean, I really liked your photos but, you are the first person that I am choosing their self portrait as their POW. Photo 12 is framed perfectly. The subject (you) are almost an afterthought as the stark, white wall and clock dominate the photo. What I really like about this one is the darkness that is creeping up around you on either side of the bottom of the photo. You really managed to create art out of a very "simple" shot. Very good eye.
Sean, I think your photos all look pretty great! I really like how the angle of 8 is different from the rest of your photos. The contrast in that is also great. The shadow and lighting of 7 is also really interesting. I think your POW is definitely 12. The photo is framed really nicely and the warm tone to it makes to nice to look at!
Hi there Sean, I like tour black and white collection! My three favorites are number 1, number 11, and number 12. Number one is great because it is simplistic and yet you took advantage of leading lines and shadows and with that, you created a very interesting pattern. I think number eleven is strong because it is centered well and the composition with the mannequin head over the head of the model goes very well and evokes a certain mystery and playfulness. I like number 12 because it is framed very interestingly. Another simplistic piece, but it still uses the objects within the frame to create a strong and composed photo. The contrast of the bleak, white wall and the clock/couch/model suits the emotion of the picture very well. For that reason, I vote #12 as your POW.
The Construction of the work: the shot uses visual and technical tools such as shapes and geometry, and great lighting especially the highlights and shadows (they are what really catch my eye) to make it more dynamic and mysterious.
The Communication of the work: The photo can be read pretty well. The content resonates with my own interests because I'm a huge wine drinker, so I feel a kind of attachment to the photo. Makes me wish I had some to get through doing this homework! everything is easily understood, but is very interesting to look at for more than a quick second.
The Conception of the work: Although I'm not seeing a pattern of motivation for the majority of these photos, I could see an interest in shadows and lighting. For example, number two was great as well, and caught the shadows from the light hitting the stair's hand rail.
Hey Sean! 11 and 12 are my favorites. The framing of 12 I thought was well done and it also has a interesting point of view. The white space in the middle draws the eyes along the border and really creates an appealing shot. 11 I enjoyed too presented some humor along with great positioning. This was framed perfectly. POW-12.
Hi Sean, my favorite photos are 6 & 2. In 6 I like how the bicycle isn't focused on the center of the photo and non goo zoomed in. It makes the photo appear very abstract. I like 2 due to the contrast. #2 is what l world pick as POW because of the use of light to create high contrast and excellent shadows.
Hey Sean! Great photos. I like how some of your photos show the shadows! My favorites are #2 because you didn't focus yourself on the center of your photo, yet give us a sense of simplicity. I think your POW is #12 because of the shadows and the contrast of the image.
