Hey Hynda! You have some really eye catching pictures. I think that your POW should be 7. It made me look at it for a while to try and figure out what it was exactly. This was a perfect example of how using color can be just as mysterious as using black and white.
Hynda, your ability to capture candid moments in people is fantastic. Both your self-portraits and your photos of other people really convey emotion and sincerity. 1,2,4,8, and 9 ALL display very real, raw emotions. This shows that you have a real connection to what is happening in the moment and know JUST when to "click that button" on the camera. However, your POW is photo 11. Not only does this photo capture a very pure, unfiltered emotionally pure moment but, the detail and framing of it turns his face into art. This photo had me wondering just what was he thinking, or what did you say right before taking the shot. This is one of the better photos I have seen.
Hi Hynda! 10 and 11 are my favorite photographs of yours. You were able to catch a lot of warm colors within your images which I found pretty neat. POW for me is 11. I never considered looking at skin pigmentation as use of color and I think with the expression of the subject you have a really interesting image here. You were able to capture lots of detail. Great job!
Hi Hynda! nice pictures, they make me feel like you are such a happy person! I love how most of your pictures have different colors that go with each other and make the picture pop. I think your POW should be #1. I absolutely love how you just look so happy, yet the background is a little mysterious and the lighting is awesome! good job!
Hey Hynda. Your collection of photographs are fun to look at, and I found myself staring at a few different photographs for quite awhile. I really like how your photos include so many vibrant colors in your pictures. Your POW is photograph #10. Even though they are simply books, you managed to make them appear so interesting through their arrangement, their varying colors, the dark black background, and your angle choice.
Hey Hynda, Your collection is definitely provides a great sense of character and captures your personality very well without us even knowing you. I like how in 14, 5, 6, and 7 there is a tie of with all the pictures through symmetry. Your use of framing and symmetry in these pictures allows for a uniformed feeling and great balance throughout the photos. Also, the symmetry allows for just enough color to be added to the photographs which works to their advantage. Your POW is 5. I like the symmetry of the picture and the angle from which you framed it. The orange of the chairs is just enough and allows for great focus on the picture.
I like that your photos mostly just focus on one subject in each photo. I also like that you focus on faces and facial expressions, it definitely adds to the feeling behind each photo. I think your POW is 13 because of the mystery and the lighting, I like that the fingers look more red because of the light.
POW=7 I enjoy how all your photos but two of your photos contains the human form in some way or another. This weeks critique was color and passion and you absolutely took photos with passion. It was hard for me to choose between #7 and #11 as your POW because I enjoy both of them for very different reasons. I love 11 because there is so much texture and emotion within this picture. One rarely get's that close to someone's face to be able to see the wrinkles, hair follicles, etc.
I decided to choose #7 as your POW because there is so much mystery going on here. I like how you used either editing or some sort of mirror to create symmetry. Although they are just hands, you changed the positioning of them to create something completely different. The geometry created here by the hands and bending arms is very visually appealing.
Hi Hynda! You have an incredible collection of pictures for this topic. I really love #5 and #7.
#7 is very mysterious to me and the dirtiness of the hands reflecting in the mirror is almost something that reminds me of a horror movie. It's a creepy picture and the color is very subtle but I think it works great in this photo.
I think your POW should be #5. I absolutely love the framing of the simple chairs. The brightness of the orange against the different patterns on the walls and floor and the lines of the walls meeting the floor and corner create lines that guide my eyes to different parts of the picture. Great job this topic! Keep up the good work.
Hynda, I like how a lot of your pictures center around people this week. I think thats really different. I think your pow is 3. This is a really sweet picture with some great color. It makes me wonder who the people in the picture are.
Your photographs are really great. I would pick photo 5 as your POW. I like the red color of the chairs in contrast to the grey and white pattern on the tile floor. I also like the feel of the photograph, having those red chairs in that ominously colored room really created a unique looking photograph.
