Hey Lindsay! Nice pictures! I think that you did a good job capturing things that had interesting colors. I think it was nice that you played around with different types of lighting. I think your POW should be "Yellow." Although this picture is very plain, it has great color elements. I like that the yellow in the shot is the brightest color. You have other color like the red in the brick but these colors all work together to really make the yellow stand out.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you tried to play with the angles while capturing your subjects. I really like the photo "Yellow" because of the simple composition, but I think your POW for me is your photo number 14. I feel like this photo could tell a story and I really like your pose. The colors of the blue on the wall and the orange of the food really create an interesting view for the eye (opposite the color wheel).
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsay, I really enjoyed looking through your pictures. I like how you have different themes throughout your pictures. I also really like your lighting and how you angled you photographs. I think your POW should be #8. I love the lighting here and how it is beautiful, but mysterious at the same time. You can really build a story behind this photograph. Good job :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lindsay, sweet pictures! #7 stood out to me because of the pattern of the wallpaper, the angle and the fact that you photographed the corner. #6 is beautiful! I like how the bouquet of roses is surrounded by the sheer white curtain. I think your POW would be #1. The colors, angle, and expression on your face stood out to me. It's a very mysterious photo! Nice work!
ReplyDeletethe Content: I liked all of your pictures. The colors are very stimulating and have an interesting story to tell
ReplyDeletethe Form : You formulated your pictures in such a matter that I feel as if it is telling me about your day. As if I'm walking through of what it is that you see on your regular day
The impact: your impact is sweet it tells a simple story
POW: 10
Great photos Lindsay! My favorite are #5 and #10. In #5 the hyndrant palcmenet is very ineresting and the shadows in the pictures create dimension. The wrting on the sidewalk which is only slightly visible adds to that also. I would have to pick #10 as you POW because it was the picture that caught my eye. The colors included are clear and vibrant. The picture is simple yet very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsay. I really like photo 5 for the way it is framed. The orange against the gray background really gets that color to pop out. The same thing with photo 10, which isolates the yellow in a way so as to really exploit it for its fullest potential. Many of your photos do a good job of turning ordinary into art by using clever framing and unique angles. I think your POW is 10. The way this photo uses mundane colors to accentuate the yellow is very clever.
ReplyDeleteHey Lindsay! I really like photos #4 and #11.
ReplyDelete#11 is a great picture and the shadows created in it gives more for the eye to look at. The bold colors are subtle, but the green on the wall adds a pop of color that works wonderfully with this photo.
I think your POW should be #4. I like that although the pay phone is completely useless, it is turned into something that I want to look at in this picture. Again, the color is subtle, but the Verizon red and the blue on the walls add just enough color to not be a boring photo but it doesn't take away from the focus of the picture that is the pay phone.
Hey Lindsay,
ReplyDeletePOW=9
I like many of your photos. While all your photos are great, a few seem to "cliche" photos (3,6,12). As your POW I chose number 9. This photo seems very balanced because of the lighting, shading, and colors that were captured. There is balance in this picture because there is light, but also shade. By using the interesting shapes that are in the wallpaper and the lighting of the lamps, a beautiful harmonious composition was created. If I could suggest one thing to do in this picture was maybe try shooting this at a lower angle and deepen the shadows to create more of a contrast.
Great photo!
Hey Lindsay, really cool pictures. I really like all of the color in your pictures and you have a lot of great variety. For me your POW is 13. I think this picture has a lot of mystery. If you hadn't titled it I probably wouldn't have know what it was! I also really like 9. It is framed really well and I like the contrast between the sky and the buildings.
ReplyDeleteHey Linds! Number 14 is my pick for your POW. Not only does the shot have an interesting angle but the range within the color scheme is eye appealing. The blues of the walls play well with the oranges on the dinner plates. Also like that those kind of are the only two colors present. Everything else seems mostly white to me, and you in the contrasting black. Great shot!
