  1. Hey Sean! I think from the beginning I enjoyed number 14 the best. I love first the point of view. It looks to me as if you rotated it sideways for flipped it upside down entirely. Regardless it creates a really neat frame and the editing done to me is appealing. It feels like a matte kind of finish which I find really interesting and intriguing. I also really liked number 12 for its unique coloring with the string lights but POW for me is 14.

  2. Hi Sean. I really like your first self-portrait. I like the mystery created by using the reflection and I found myself looking at that box and thinking "what the heck is that?" However, hands down your POW is 14. I love how this photo works now matter how your view it. Its a great exploration of light and contrasting yet complimenting colors. I really like how you muted down the sheen of the photo. This is a very artistic piece.

  3. pow 3 or 5 can't decide on which i like better so both.
they both are minimalistic and simple, using light to add depth to a space that is flat or not that deep in range.
both give mystery and use minimal color to highlight/accentuate one object, either a light or a fire extinguisher.
i like how these photos aren't over saturated with complex details and make you really appreciate what is in the composition. good focal points in both

  4. Hi Sean I would select #5 as your POW for this week. There is a great use of shadows in the picture which create a sense of mystery. The elements in the picture are simple but create a very good , clear photograph.

  5. Sean, I like how your photos focus on simple everyday objects, but portray them in a way that makes the viewer wonder what is happening in the photos. Your use of color is great - I love all the red and the yellow. Your POW is 7 because of the interesting angle and colors displayed on the book case.

  6. POW=14

You have quite a few shots here that really represent color and passion. I like how you didn't take any pictures of bright colored objects. Instead, you created passion by using shadows, light, and toning instead. Your POW is number 14 because it takes the viewer a moment to realize what they are looking at. The contrast between the dark and lighter colors is visually appealing. I also think it was a great choice to rotate the picture upside down. This actually looks like a geometric piece of art, and I enjoy the texture that is shown on the yellow tile.

Number 10 is also a wonderful shot, you were able to create new angles and shapes in the picture by the shadow of the stairway and the light that is coming in. Well done

  7. Hey Sean! Cool pictures this week. They are all really fun and possess a strong energy. I would have to say that your POW is photo number 8. I think this image is really bold and interesting. At first glance, I wasn't sure exactly what is was but I then realized that it was the inside of a beer cup. I think this was a really creative composition that you chose. Rather than just take a picture of a cup, you force the viewer to look at a cup in a completely different way. This picture possesses a great sense of mystery. Great work!

  8. Hey Sean!
Very interesting pictures! I think your POW should be number 3. Although it is a very basic shot I like that my eye wasn't drawn to the center of the shot but to the side where the splash of color from the fire hydrant was. I really like the way that you set the shot up.

  9. POW:1. I love the picture in itself. It holds so much mystery. I have no idea if I'm looking at a ceiling or if I'm looking at the ground. The use of colors are intresting. I love the mystery in all your pictures. The lack of direction and the use of colors with darkness.

  10. Hey Sean, I great pictures this week. I really like the angles that you use throughout the collection. I think your POW is 1. I like the way the red pops against the bar ground. It has a lot of mystery to it. I also really like self portrait number 2. I think its interesting how the majority of the frame is of the girl yet it still feels like a self portrait.
