Hey Jasmine! You're pictures are really creative. I would say that 6 should be your POW. I really like the close up of the tea candles and the way the light illuminates around them. I think a close up was a great idea because you can see the blue in the flame. The faint blue gives the shot a different tone of color than the scheme of the rest of the shot.
Hey Jasmine. I like most of your photos. Photos 16 and 14 both do a really good job of creating a piece of art out of something very "normal". However, I think photo 12 and 2 both do a really good job at conveying a feeling and implying a sense of time. Photo 12 conveys sadness, isolation and decay and seems stark and quiet. I think photo 2 is your POW. I feel like I'm viewing through a window into the past. It really made me stop and ponder about what life was like for the people that we don't see, but who are existing in that moment in time. Very Good!
Hey Jasmine! I really appreciate your collection especially because you tried to take normal concepts, such as buildings we pass everyday and nature, and used it to your advantage to capture the intimacy of it through color and composure. I think 16,14, and 12 seem to relate to one another very much not only because they are a similar environment but because the color and warmth along with the framing all resonate with one another. I like them very much. I think your POW is 7. You used the shadows to your advantage to capture the building and the parking lot. The parking lot and building separate the photo but the shadow on the building separates it even further. Also, I definitely love the balance of color in this despite the fact that there are many different colors.
I like that the subjects of your photos in unclear a lot of the time. Your colors are very interesting. Your photos of the buildings are awesome because they all have very similar colors in them, it's like all the buildings are almost the same shade of orange/red. Your POW is 12 because of all of the layers of the photo, there are so many different colors and textures going on in it!
The past few weeks we have been hit with a lot of snow, and it was hard to go outside and find something with color and passion (since everything was covered with snow). You definitely went out and searched for standout colors and captured it in this photo. There was a warm, natural lighting used in this picture and the colors were able to stand out a lot more because of this. You took great advantage of the sun setting and were able to capture a lot of great shadows and angles. Another thing it seems like you might have done was underexposure the photo which created much richer, warmer colors instead of faded or washed out colors. I feel like I am in the 50's walking in the city when I look at this picture. Beautiful content!
I love your point of views. Your colors are washed out and not very vibrant but they tell an ancient story. Your content is very lovely. I love the way you depict your surrounding. POW:2
Jasmine, I love your collection. All of your photos have great mystery! I think your pow 16. It has this faded color to it that makes it really interesting. I also like the contrast between the overall redness of the brick and then the green to the door. I also love 9. The colors in this are absolutely amazing.
Your POW is definitely photo 13. I really like the lite that you captured in you photograph. It looks like real natural sunlight, as opposed to adjusting the brightness and exposure after the fact. I really liked your photographs overall, and the ways you chose to capture the city.
Hey Jasmine! 2, 12, and 13 are my favorites of yours this week. I feel like you were able to capture a lot of natural light and really make your photos stand out with warming the tones in your editing techniques. You were also able to shot at a variety of angles which added interesting points of view within the frames. POW is 2 or 12 for me.

ReplyDeleteHi Jasmine! Great photos. I think your POW should be #9. I like the angle of this shot and the red really pops. I love it. Good job!
