  1. Hello! I really enjoyed a lot of your photos. You captured some creative concepts throughout your work this week! I really liked your subject placement and overall composition of your photos. For example, 16, 14, 11 and 8. The feet at the top of the stairs really captured my attention, because I liked how you took the photo from this angle and not from the perspective of your own feet, which we have seen through a lot of peoples' work so far. I struggled a lot with capturing movement and so photo number 8 is definitely my POW for you. The placement of the subject is perfect and I love the way you cropped in and focused on just the bottom of the subject. I think this photo can stand alone and tell a story to the viewer. I also like the tones of colors and the filter that you applied. Good job!

  2. It is difficult for me to choose a POW because I enjoy a number of your photographs this week. You did an awesome job capturing movement in photos 8 an 9. In photograph 6 I love your editing technique, and it was an excellent choice to use black and white.
I think your POW 11. I love the close proximity and angle in which you shot this photo. Additionally, the artificial lighting from the sign contrasts really well with the darkness of the night.

  3. Hey Kristi, nice photos! I really enjoyed all the different techniques and strategies you used. I think that your POW is 7. I really like the color that is used. You took a normal photo and made it interesting. I am curious how you got the color because it looks awesome! The dark trees give the photo dimension.

  4. Hi Kristi! You have some great photos here. I really enjoyed looking through what you put together. You were able to capture movement in a very unique way and your panorama photos are also very creative. I really liked photos 8, 10, and 17. I think you POW should definitely be photograph #8. You were able to capture movement and the color balance of this photograph is great as well. Good job!

  5. pow = 6, very awesome picture, i appreciate the contrast, sense of mystery and depth. its so complex with all of the shapes that it took me a while to see the face in the top right corner of the picture. i feel like it can be used for a movie poster (horror or drama in the woods). the abstract "hair" looking shapes on the left add another element of strangeness to the photo too and really complete the composition.

nice use of motion for this project. a lot of the photos are vague, and abstract and have a sense of looking into a situation and capturing the exact moment without really getting any other details.

  6. Hi Kristi. I really liked all of your photos but, photo 10 really jumoed out at me. This is a great self-portrait. I love the use of double exposure to create the image of the hand over the face. This one is framed well and really expresses something tender. That is your POW.

  7. I really love your whole collection this week! I think your pow is photo 8. The colors here are amazing. Its a really warm and comforting shot yet some how at the same time conveys an almost fleeting feeling. It is a really complex photo. Some of my other favorites are 16, 15, and 10. Overall I think you did a great job!

  8. Hey Kristi!

Really enjoyed all of the photos in your collection and it's hard to pick just one for your POW. I really liked your self portraits, they were very intriguing and I like the concept that you came up with for them. I would say that your POW would be number 8. The color of the girls sweater really caught my eye and I liked how you chose to frame it without having the girls face in it. It gives a little bit of mystery to the photo.

  9. Hey, You had SO many awesome photos this week! Just about everyone stood out in a different way to me...so yea, you certainly killed it this week. I dont even know what one to choose for your POW because they were all worthy of the title, so Ill break it down to one - POW is 6 because of how unique and perfectly balanced the photo is. Its layers are perfectly mixed and creates an abstraction that keeps me looking at it longer than the other photos. I think the use of BW is also another big catch for me. Amazing job this week

  10. POW=15

I love how you used a slow shutter to blur certain elements in the image, while focusing sharply on a few subjects in the foreground. The movement of the light in this photo really portrays a mood. When I look at this image it reminds me of someone breaking free from confinement or control. You used light as your subject and captured it in slow motion, creating a path from the foreground to the background.

  11. Hi Kristi. I enjoyed viewing your pictures. #16 is a great shot. The lighting is very warm here which I liked and you did a great job of using slow shutter to have the barely visible 'ghost' within the picture. Another great photo is #8. I would select this as POW because the motion is clearly evident and I liked the composition of the scene. It is very simple and the bright red really pops, drawing the audience in.

  12. Kristi!! I love your photos! You have some really awesome shots. I'm having a hard time choosing a photo for your POW. I really love photo number 8. I love how the color red pops out against the rest of the image. I also love the energy of the picture with the person jumping and how you can see the progression of the jump at different stages. I would have to say that your POW is number 6. It took me a couple times to look at it but I noticed the face in the trees. This is such a creative and interesting composition. Most definitely my favorite. Great job.

  13. Hey Kristi! I really, really enjoyed your photos! I think you did an excellent job in how you capture different objects. I felt a sense of serenity when looking through your photos. You did a very nice job in the way you layered your photos. My favorite and your POW is number 16. I love the sunlight, especially hitting the person's face who is smiling. I also liked the fact that I had to look at the photo a little longer to notice the other layer of her resting her arm against the window. Nice work!

  14. Hey Kristi! You had an amazing collection this week! I loved how most of the pictures had a reoccurring theme of soft and subtle colors with exaggerated lighting. My POW for you would be 14. I really like how you captured the shoes and looking down the stairs. I am still trying to figure out where you stood to take the picture. It adds a lot of mystery especially because the bottom of the stairs are overexposed and I am unable to see what is down there. Great job!
