Hi Maggie! I really enjoy your photos. Your photo compositions are very creative and interesting! Some of my favorites are 11, 9 and 7! I really liked how you managed to capture a texture in some of your photos. It really adds to the photos because it makes them more than just a visual experience. I also like how you use colors to create a certain mood in your photographs. I think my POW for you is photo number 9 because I really like the angle that you captured in this photo. I also really like how you made something black and white, still very interesting and intriguing. I really like the mystery behind this photo.
Damn! 15, 11, 8, and 6 are like paintings! I'm not even sure how you created photo 15 but, I love the concept. This is a photo that might spark deep thoughts. Photo 8 is just a great use of angle and perspective and managed to take something ordinary and make it into something exceptional. While it seems like one of your more simple photos, I think photo 2 is your POW. Your use of light (or lack of) and long exposure time really created something haunting and fragile. This photo is sad and at the same time creates a feeling of power. I just love how the contrast of darkness against the sharpness of the tree really conveys isolation. Love it!
pow = 2, i am a big fan of the simplicity of the composition. the black background with the hard light on the tree really creates a professional looking shot that would be created by using lots of lamps and external lighting. also interesting how you can't see the ground, makes me feel as if the tree is almost floating since you don't see where it is rooted.
i am a fan of the style of panos you used in this project. you really played with foreground/background relationships to develop depth in your compositions. nice textures are developed this way and spacial relationships that really seem interesting. the style of panos almost gives an abstract feel if you could see less detail and only shapes which is effective in capturing attention of the viewer
Hey Maggie, I really like your collection this week. You have a lot of really interesting panoramic shots. I think your pow is photo 8. I think this really shows the idea of "extended seeing". As the viewer I am looking at the pile of wood but I also can see the whole background behind it because of the way you shot the panorama. I also love photos 11 and 7. The swings are shot from such a cool perspective that you would never think to see. 11 looks like it could almost be a really artistic ad for the restaurant she is at. It looks really relaxed and makes me want to go there.
Hey Maggie! In your collection this week images 15, 14, 11, and 9 are my favorites. I think you did well in creating interesting panoramic shots with framing objects with unique points of view and angles. Your slow shutter image (14) I really like because I think the symmetry of the posing turned out really well. Your POW for me is number 9. I first like depth of field that you were able to capture and the addition of making it black and white added more contrast into the image. I am not actually sure what the object is which kept me engaged and looking at it longer.
Hi Maggie! Very nice collection you have here! Throughout the pictures, you can see how you begin to progress and become more and more creative. I think your POW should be number 17 because you are most creative in this shot. It has a deeper meaning than simply an extended seeing shot. You have utilized the subjects in the photo to create a story or a premise while still keeping it simple and elegant. Great job!
Your collection was great! Really enjoyed all of your photos and hard to pick a favorite. I really liked your first picture it made me take a second look before I realized what I was looking at. I would say your POW would be number 15. I think it's awesome that you captured the book with such detail so that you knew what it was but with enough blurriness so that you know that it is in motion. All of your pictures were really great and I think you did a great job with this assignment.
Hi Maggie! I loved your collection this week! Your photographs came out great. Your POW is definitely 15. I love how you captured the book in motion in the air. It sends a pretty unique message because the photo is so original. I really like that you decided to use the sky as the background for the book, allowing the focus to be essentially on the book. The color in that photo are also completely harmonious. I also really really loved 9. Its really cool because you were able to zoom in on a perfect element. I was unable to tell what it really was and that adds great mystery! Great job!!
Pow: 15 That photograph speaks with everything the assignment was about. It gave an extended sight to the view of something being thrown in the air. We don't get to see those stages with our own eyes, and you managed to freeze that moment for us. You did a great job with your different array of photographs. They are in tune with one another and catches the eyes while still mystifying us.
