Hi Kelsey! nice photos. I really enjoyed looking through your work. You have a lot of photos from the same place, but different objects and views which I think it's pretty interesting. I like all the photos of the plates. It looks really old school and mysterious. Your POW should be 7 because it's really mysterious and has a lot to tell. I like the bathroom idea and how its black and white. Good Job!
#2 is my favorite out of all your pictures because you maximized both perspective and depth in this shot. One suggestion I would have done to make this photo even more powerful is taking the photo closer so the garbage can and archway is not showing. This would create even more depth and mystery. A diminishing effect was used in this image to create depth. I think this was the perfect setting to use a diminishing effect because there is a repetition of objects. If you got up closer to the first object in the line, it would make the object appear very large within the frame, and then it would give a reduction in size to the objects more distant in the picture. I loved how you used your setting to create depth. Great work.
Hey Kels, Your photo #19 is my absolute favorite of the bunch and Is my choice for your POW. It is super creepy looking. The way you chose to compose this is very different as well. Its not straight on or perfectly level, which helps add to the creepiness feeling I have when looking at it. The lighting is also key to the drama. Its very old looking, and the lighting just adds much more of a haunted look. Awesome photo
Hey Kelsey! You have some really nice photographs for this weeks topic. I love how you shot so many pictures of the old antiques. This was perfect for the vintage topic. I would have to say that your POW is number 19. This is a very creepy image but it is also very intriguing. Those steps leading up to the dark black doorway really draws me into the image. I want to know what is going on behind those doors. Really cool. Nice job.
Hey Kelsey! Loved all of the pictures in your collection this week! Really think you nailed the assignment. I think your POw should be either numbers 1 or 2. I don't know something about the house and the filters just makes it look really vintage.
Kelsey, I really like your stuff. i Think your pow should be 2. The hallway has a really vintage feel to me. The lighting is great in this picture too! I also really like 13. I love the coloring and angle her.
For this crit, you did a really great job of capturing vintage. The building that a few of your shots were taken in looks really interesting, therefore it was hard to choose your POW. I went with 3 is your POW, because I liked the endlessness created by the way you framed the shot of the hallway.
Your collection this week was definitely uniform and it stuck to one theme. I like that you kept it a very specific collection. Your POW should be 19. There is something spooky about this yet there is something that is provoking a sense of memory. I feel as though I know this door, not this specific one but a door that resembled this one. The color makes it unclear, evoking emotion of confusion. I really like this picture.
Pow: 20 That house being creepily entangled with the dry crispy branches, gives the picture a feeling of vintage and also of fear and horror, as if something has happened there before, I love it. You did an overall good job with the assignment in giving us a sense of memory.
This picture really captures what this weeks theme was all about. It is a very eery photo which I believe definitely gives the message of memory or history. The filter you used added to this affect also. Very good job!
