Hi Kristi, You have really great photos this week. Your POW is 17, which I think is your self portrait. You used the sun to your advantage in this picture and it created really nice shadows throughout the entire picture. I also like that you were placed to the side of the photograph so that my eyes were not immediately drawn to you and I could appreciate other aspects of the picture. Great editing technique as well.
Hello! I really love your photos this week. My top two that I had a hard time deciding between are 17 and 20. I really like your use of light and angles in photo number 20, but I think 17 is your POW because of the unique content. It is very different from everything else we have seen and captures a very interesting, yet specific moment. I love the placement of the subject and the emotion that this piece portrays. I also really loved the tone of the photo and the editing done. Very good job!
Hi Kristi! I like your photos! very nice work. I think your POW should be 17. I really like the lighting and how the person in the picture is kind of caught in a moment of happiness. I really like the shadows and the angle you shot this photo at. Good job!
Hey Kristi! You have some really awesome photos for this weeks topic. I really enjoyed how most of your photos were shot outside. I think this really gave a lot of your photos a really great texture which was really interesting to look at. I would have to say that your POW is photo number 3. It took me a second to realize that the image I was seeing was in a reflection in a pair of sunglasses. I really love how you took such an ordinary object as sunglasses and shot something really artistic and creative. Great work!
Hey Kristi, sweet photos! All of your pictures have really interesting subjects! Number 19 is really neat because it looks like an actual vintage photo! I like that some of your photos have all light colors, and then some have mostly colors that really pop! As for your POW, I would say it is number 18. I enjoy the way your framed this photo, the colors, and the filter used!
Hey Kristi, I really enjoy all your photos and it was really hard for me to pick your POW because I had many favorites. If I had to choose I would definitely say your best was 17. By the way you shot the photo as well as edited made it look like a polaroid picture or a photo taken with a camera from the 70's. You looked outside of the box, and did not just photos of "vintage" furniture or items, but rather used the placement of your subjects to create a old memory or vintage experience. The contrast of the white shirt against the black shadow in the background creates a beautiful experience. I also like how the subject is not centered and is not directly looking at the camera. Great work.
Your POW is photo 10 because of the light depicted and the person's facial expression. I definitely feel that a memory is being made in the picture and that goes along with the topic for this crit. I love your use of color in all of your photos, most of them have a certain color scheme that is unique to each photo. Good work!
Welp, you nailed it this week for sure. I would say every photo of yours is POW worthy, but my favorite is #3 without a doubt. Thats your POW. Why? Well, its just all around super unique looking. The way you cropped out the face and chose to only have a single eye in the composition made for an awesome photograph. The reflection is crystal clear, with a bit of fisheye distortion from the glass being beveled. Great FX as well. Overall so damn awesome.
Hey Kristi! Great job with the assignment this week. I also think that number 3 should be your POW. There's just something about the image being reflected in something that in my opinion makes it look like a memory.
I really like photo 17. There is something about the effect used to enhance the image that makes it feel like a window into someone's memory. Also, the subjects is framed well in this shot, however, I think your POW is 10. I'm not sure if you got that light coming across and sort of over exposing the shot on purpose or by accident, or if it was part of the original photo or something you created using effects but, it makes this photo feel like a Polaroid picture, I really think this did an excellent job of conveying vintage.
Photo 19 is your POW. I like the coloration in the photograph. It seems like a really great mix of the natural light and color of the shot, and some fine tuning with various apps. The architecture of the doorway with its intricate geometric shapes really pop with the adjustments in contrast. Great photos, and good use of color to create a vintage feel!
