  1. Hey Aubrey,
Your POW is 15. I like that you allowed the viewer to see the seclusion of the house by capturing its environment. The house has a really eerie vibe to it, which makes me think there could be a memory attached to it. I like the editing technique that you chose to create this tonal quality.

  2. Hey Aubrey, Nice pictures! I think that your POW is 11. really like the way you took this picture. It makes me wonder what type of memories this photo brings up for you. It could be a place that comforts you or someone you knew used to sit in that chair. You captured the topic perfectly!

  3. Hey Aubrey. You have a LOT of great photos here. You clearly really understood the assignment and embraced it. So many of your shots created the feeling of nostalgia or conveyed a feeling of memory. Photo 8 is just a really good shot for both the way your ghostly image over the background creates a vintage feeling and for the expression on your face, which really captured something unique. Photos 11-15 ALL do a really great job of inspiring a sense of reflection and isolation. I actually think your POW is 20. This is just a very unique shot which made something much more out of an otherwise mundane scene. The combination of the subject matter, along with the effect and the Pano framing really made this into something artistic and vintage.

  4. Hey Aubrey 20, 15, 7 and 1 are my favorite images of yours this week. I think I like 20 as your POW. This scene seems extremely interesting and full of surprises. This is a nice way of identifying and presenting space. Good job.

  5. Hey Aubrey! I really enjoyed looking through your photos for this topic. All of your photos really capture such a strong vintage feel to them. I would have to say that your POW is number 8, your self-portrait. I love how you combined your self-portrait with a background image. The fading of the images really makes the picture look like a vintage photograph. I also love how everything in the photo is muted and monochromatic except for the pop of dark red color in your lipstick. Great work!

  6. Hey Aubrey, great job with your blog! I enjoy the filters you used to enhance your photos! Number 8 is really neat! I like the two different layers you used. And your red lipstick looks fantastic! As for your POW, I think it should be number 19! This photo feels like it's from the 60's-70's. I love the red, pink and orange all put together in one frame! And the cute white cat stuffed animal really brings the photo together!

  7. I like how you got out of the city of Philadelphia for a lot of these photos. They have a very rustic look and I love all the wilderness! Your POW is photo 14 because it makes me wonder where you took the photo and where that broken down abandoned house is. All your photos look really vintage!

  8. Hey Aub, I really like what you have going here! This shows off your style quite well while still evoking different aspects of time. I think your POW should be number 7. It is a strongly composed landscape shot which can be hard to do. The lighting and editing convey a very meditative state with both nostalgia and creation. I also like your theme of using different shapes against a white background giving a silhouette affect. Very cool stuff!

  9. Aubrey! You're always killing it. This week my favorite is #13. The old house is super sketchy and haunted looking. The way you framed it also helps add to the freakiness - your standing across a yard of dead grass with dead bushes and tress...sketchy. Honestly, the first thing I though was "ughh, ew, yuck. Wonder what that looked like when it was first built." Think about it. Awesome job on the rest as well!

  10. Hey Aubrey! You have some pretty cool pictures this week, I like 'em. Two pictures really stand out to me. #16 and #7. I absolutely love the lines in #16. They're crazy and come from every direction because of the sun. It's a great picture.

I think your POW is #7. This reminds me of an old movie from the 70s. The editing that you did also really enhanced the picture. You made good use of your tools and it really paid off in this picture and this collection overall.

  11. pow = 13 i love the feel of the photo here. it reminds me of a movie based on a classic novel or something. the setting seems so real and almost illustrated. it has a bit of an eerie feel to it but that's good because it goes along with the concept of the photo.
overall i enjoyed how peaceful your photos are and how they all seem to have a vintage/memory feel. some are more abstract than others and that's great because it shows creativity and lets the viewer make sense of the photos in their own mind.

  12. Aubrey, I always really love your stuff! I think my two favorites are 19 and 8. I think your self portrait (8) has a great composition. I love how most of the photo is kinda mute in color but then your lipstick and eyes are more saturated. I think 19 is your POW. The subject matter absolutely contribute to the vintage feel of the picture but also the filter and warmth two it reminds me of an old photo. Great job!
