  1. Hi Rebecca! My POW for you is the fourth picture from the top. I really like the moment you captured between two people. It was nice to see that the subjects were a bit mysterious and the composition was well done. I really liked how this picture truly captured a specific moment in time. For the future you can try and play with more filters and with the brightness and contrasts. I feel like that would add a ton of interest and make your pictures pop.

  2. Hey Rebecca! You have some nice photos for this weeks topic. I would have to say that your POW is number 17. This photograph really grabbed my attention because it was shot at a really interesting angle. The angle at which it is shot takes such an ordinary object as a doorknob, and makes it look really unique and interesting. The carpet on the floor paired with outdated doorknob makes for a very vintage feel. Good job.

  3. Hello Rebecca, nice work with your photos! I like the filters you used, and I also like the different tones coming out of your pictures. Number 1 has really different light that I haven't seen in any other pictures yet. As for your POW, I would say number 15. The details of the wood is really brought out in this photo and I like the way you framed it!

  4. Rebecca, I think my favorites are 14 and 17. 14 is really abstract so I definitely gives off a lot of mystery. I think your POW is 17. The colors are nice in the picture. Also the fact that the photo is based around a simple object really gives off the idea of memory.

  5. Your POW is photo 8 because of your use of shadows and it makes me feel like I am in that bathroom looking at the toothbrushes and wondering which one is mine. I like the way you incorporated people into these photos, it adds a nice touch to the memory aspect of the crit!

  6. Hey Rebecca! I think your POW this week is #1. I absolutely love the lighting. The way that the street takes up a large portion of the picture adds a small touch of mystery to the picture--it's really cool. The editing that you did to add to the sky also really enhanced the imagination shown here. Awesome job!

  7. Hey Rebecca! I really like where you were going with this weeks topic! A lot of your pictures are simple yet loaded with memory in the form of the past or creating new ones. I think your POW should be number 12. The lighting is perfect and it reminds me of a slightly older photo. The composition is spot on too. There are great leading lines and you also utilized the rule of thirds. The positiveness of this picture also evokes fond memories of happiness. I love it!

  8. Hey, #2 is so damn interesting. I had no idea what I was looking at at first. The water is super dark and threw me off, but in a great way. My favorite part is the way you chose to frame everything. What is shown makes for an interesting photo, and makes me feel like im looking in on a dream or something. Great job on your other photos as well.

  9. Photo 7 is your POW. I like how the brightness at the top of the stairs descends into darkness at the bottom. I also like how the fluorescent looking yellows fade into blues and dark greens at the bottom. It is a really cool use of color and vintage effects. Overall, a lot of your pictures were really good this crit. Good work!

  10. POW-4

This picture really stood out to me. I think the scene with the vaccum and surrounding natural debris create an interesting scene. Also, the filter you used added to this effect. great job!
