  1. Number 1 is my POW for you. I really like how you captured something so simple and made him so interesting. I really like the warmth that comes from the photo. It tells a story and can be related to a journey and creates mystery.

  2. Hey Alex!
I really liked your first picture as well. It is something that some people see everyday and you took it at such a different angle to make it look like a piece of art. The warm glow from the lights really make the picture.

  3. Hello Alex! Nice work on your photos! The colors in #8 are awesome, especially against the brick wall! #1 is neat because of how you captured the light in the train as it leads to darkness towards the back - very mysterious! I think your POW would be #4. I enjoyed the layers of landscapes that you captured in this photo. The yellow line, black fence, and red overhang really balances the photo out. Good job!

  4. Hey Alex. I really like photo 1 for the mystery and framing. It really took me a minute to even work out what this was a photo of. I also like how this photo captures light. I think your POW is the one titled Self1. This is a great and mysterious self-portrait and I like what ever filters you put this through that makes it almost appear like a painting. With just a smile I find myself imagining what the rest of your expression might have been and I think this is just what we want these photos to do.. leave us wondering..

  5. Hey Alex, I really like your first two photographs. I love how the second photograph is entirely red because it is an untraditional self portrait.
Your POW is #1. I love the angle and framing of the photo. You made a simple train look so interesting and mysterious, and the lighting caught my eye immediately.

  6. Hey Alex, I really like your collection. It definitely has a reoccurring theme of faded subjects, allowing for mystery and question to flow into the pictures. It takes a few seconds to figure out what you're trying to develop in the photos and that is really unique. The usage of over exposure works to your advantage in most of these photos. Also, I see that your subjects resonate people or the outside environment which you work really well to your advantage through the framing, focus, and composition of the pictures. Your POW is #1. It takes a second to figure out what you're looking at and I think this makes the picture so unique. You're trying to figure out what's going on and its visually simulating. The rule of thirds is pretty clevery used in this picture and the seat's colors helps to balance out the rest of the colors in the picture. It allows for enough of subtleness to be captured in the photograph. Great work!

  7. I love all of the bright colors represented in your photos! You show a broad spectrum of color. I think your POW is 6 because of the interesting colors and the sense of mystery that the viewer feels when looking at it. Great job!

  8. Great work here! My POW suggestion for you would be number 6. It is full of color and because it is more abstract, it conveys a lot of passion. It reminds me of a show that I would go and be fully passionate about. I also love number 9 because you were not afraid to use low lighting and harsh lighting in one photo- which you executed very well. I also like photo number one. Cool usage of color! Nice job overall.

  9. Hey Alex! Really fun pictures this week. I love how vibrant all of your pictures are. It looks like you did a really great job exploring the use of color. I really enjoyed picture number 6. I am not sure what is going on in the scene, but it looks fun and vibrant. I love the big flash of bright neon colors. This image has such a high energy and is really fun. I would have to say your POW is picture number 2. I love how the entire face is filled with red. The facial expression matches the angry color of red really well. I would love to know the context behind this photograph. Nice job!

  10. POW is photo number 8. I like the contrast of colors between the green skateboard and the bricks. I also like the way that you framed the photograph creating a symmetry on the skateboard, and interrupting that symmetry with the different brick pattern on the wall. Nice photographs and overall use of color.
