Hey Aubrey! You took some really good pictures! I really like that you used tilted angles to take your shots. This gives a different perspective to the viewer instead of a regular vertical or horizontal photo. I think your POW should be photo 3. I like that it shows color and is actually kind of pretty even though it is just trash.
Kelsey, you have quite a few "scene" photos, all of which do a good job of creating a feeling of quiet reflection. While all of these are very good, you have 2 photos which really transcend into becoming real art. Photo 4 is angled and framed in a way that really makes it more than the sum of its parts; however, photo 3 is your POW. Even though this is just a "photo of a still object" it truly captures so much. Not only does it express the dirty nature of inner city living but, it also manages to take trash and turn it into art. The way it is framed makes all of the color just pop out and it stops being about the objects and starts being about the larger vision. I love this photo.
Hi Aubrey! Nice photos. I like the angles of all of your photos. I think your POW should be #8. I like the mystery behind this photo and the color contrast. Good job!
Hey Aubrey, I really like that so many of your photographs include really vibrant colors. My favorite of the bunch are 4 and 10. In photograph 10 you included the snowy environment that contrasts well with the colorful building. Your POW is 4 because your shot from such an unusual angle. By simply walking passed this building, it would be impossible to appreciate it from this angle. I really like the bright green color as well.
Hey Aubrey! I love #12 because the framing is so unique. I love that my eyes are guided to the light despite the darkness in the rest of the photo. It's an interesting shot to use as color because there is little color, but I really like it!
Your POW is #4. I love the striking differences in color, pattern, and texture. The shadow also adds mystery to the photo. It makes me wonder what's being held there to create the shadow. The angle is also great for the photo because it gives the lines a different perspective than they'd have if it was straight on. Great job!
Aubrey, your photos are great! I like that they are all shot from interesting angles, few of the photos are shot straight on. I think your POW is photo 1 because of the contrast between the blue and the yellow and the different shades of color shown. The lighting in all of your photos is awesome.
Hey Aubrey! Really cool photos this week. I love how vibrant all the colors are in each of your photos. I also noticed how each of your shots are taken at really interesting angles. The angles make ordinary scenery look really awesome. I liked that. I would have to say your POW is photo number one. I love how there is such a strong contrast in the image. The dark silhouettes of the trees create a really interesting border. I love how the dark blue sky gradually changes color into the bright yellow sun, which creates a really strong focal point. Great job!
Hey Aubrey! Really enjoyed your pictures and like that you took them all at very different and interesting angles. My favorite would have to be number 3 and would recommend that for your POW. I like how instead of just taking a shot of the red wall with graffiti on it you chose to take one in the corner to show the contrast between the red wall and the white wall.
Your pictures are very mysterious. I love the way they play with your imagination. Your pictures are dark and have very strong contrasts and angles. They are very interesting. Your use of shadows add to the mystery.POW:4
AUBREY. NO. WAY. haha. Hey girl. Anyways, I noticed that the majority of your photos are consistent, and quite a few have a ton of color. With the consistency part, theres good use on angles, point of view, and depth to create an interesting photo. The subject seems to be the decay of philadelphia homes and buildings. This makes me realize how fortunate I am to be from Bucks County, a place that is the total opposite. I also am thinking how much more I am turned off by Philly. Your photos got me thinking, so bravo on that one. Great job.
OH! your POW is #3 for sure. You captured something completely different. Something that you do not see every day, and the colors are super awesome and eye catching as well.
