  1. Hey Jada, I really like your pictures! I think that you have a really good variety of ways that you shot your subjects. This made me want to look at the pictures longer because It was a different way of looking at normal things like a lamp or a bookshelf. I think that your POW should be photo 1. This picture is eerie and beautiful at the same time. I love the lighting in this shot and how it seeps through the curtains.

  2. I love a ton of your photos! I love the lighting that you have played with to create some really good photos. I love photo number 2, 3 and 5 and the lighting that you created. Your landscape pictures are really beautiful and have a sense of mystery. My POW is number 12 because I really like how you created not only a mystery but a story behind the photo. There was a foreground and a background that played to create the story as a whole.

  3. Hey Jada! The photos I enjoyed best with this topic were the ones where you played with a cloudiness technique of soft lighting. The soft light used in pictures such as 1, 2, 5 and your portraits turned out really interesting and created a haziness feeling to me. Definitely allowed for mystery through this. My POW for you would be number 5. I love the warm temperature with the lighting here!

  4. Hi Jada, your pictures are awesome. I think you really got the beautiful but mysterious theme on point. Your photographs are very unique! I felt like I was scrolling through a story while looking at your pictures. I like how you used soft lighting, but still managed to deliver a great photograph. I personally had a hard time trying to use soft lighting and still getting a good shot. I think your POW should be #5 - this photograph is very mysterious, yet the lighting works perfect and the angle of the shot is great. Love your pictures! good job :)

  5. The Construction of the work: Your shots use visual and technical tools such as hard lighting, depth of view, forms like line and shapes, as well as some nice dramatic filters and editing to make it more dynamic and mysterious.

The Communication of the work: The photographs can be read well, and there were quite a few that stopped me in mid scroll to take in more. Thats always a great thing. Some of the photos have a sort of dramatic dreariness to them from the lighting, focus, and editing, which I love.

The Conception of the work: The photographs about many different things, but I can only assume there's an interest in lamps, considering the fact that you have a few images of lamps. Overall though, I feel like the motivation behind most of the photos is lighting, and its ability to create interesting relationships with other things.

    POW - #5 no doubt

  6. Hi Jada, nice work on your photographs! They are very unique! #2 is awesome... I love how to captured the tree, mist, and the double yellow line at the bottom of the photograph. #13 is beautiful! I love tree pictures and I really appreciate this one! I think your POW would be #1. It has such an angelic, yet mysterious feel to it. It's a great angle and I love the sun pouring in through the window! Great job!!

  7. pow 2 such a nice land scape and seems almost washed out with coldness

really like 12 and 14 as well because they have a nice sense of mystery and use color nicely. 12 has good depth and tells a story in the back ground, while 14 is flat but looks like time and weather have really taken their toll

  8. Photograph #2 is your POW. I am not sure if the fog created this eerie landscape or if you edited the photograph with an app, but either way it is really great. There is a sense of mystery in this photograph, and it makes you question whether you should cross the road or not to walk through the area. The positioning of the tree is great and its dark color contrasts well with the rest of the photo.

  9. Hey Jada. I definitely think Photo 2 is your POW. I really like how this piece works with light and framing. A great amount of variance within the brown / tan spectrum really gives this photo a lot of depth. I am not sure if you used a a coloring or saturation filter to get this effect but, you achieved a lot of tonal variation within a single color spectrum. I like it.

  10. Your POW should be number 2 in my opinion because it encompases the topic of passion and color in a very off beat way. The lack of color and the "dead" feeling still shows immense passion that can be twisted in a very abstract way. I like your overall collection also because you were not afraid to play with different angles which I can appreciate. Well done!
