I really like the patterns and textures you managed to create in your photos! I like how you paired contrasting colors together to create a beautiful image. My POW for you is number 6. I really like how you created a sense of drama with the lighting and how you created space around the object. The sense of space is beautiful in this image.
Hi! nice photos! I like the lighting and angles you used in your photographs. You have a lot of different colors throughout your pictures, some stand out and make the photo! I think your POW should be #9 because I like the lighting and the photo is mysterious and different!
The Construction of the work: The shots use visual and technical tools such as perspective, unique edits, spot lighting, and depth of field to make it more dynamic and mysterious.
The Communication of the work, The photographs can be read well. Although they don't resonate with my own interests, I can see some interesting motivation behind these photos. #8 and #9 remind me of eachother some how. Maybe it's the shape that the pills are making, along with the color. The fact that you curated the images right next to each other helped me draw this comparison. Its like the pills are a super magnified version of the rug. very cool.
The Conception of the work: Most of the photographs have a heavy amount of color, in which I can assume that being the motivation behind taking the shots.
POW - #6 for sure. Its simplicity is great. The fact that the eye is drawn not to the center, but to a corner, is great (awesome use of the rule of thirds).
Hi Kajal! I really enjoyed all of your pictures and enjoyed the different colors and textures used to really show contrast. I like that some are really bright and stand out while others are a little bit more subtle. Your POW should be #6 definitely. The use of lighting is absolutely great and I like that it is not centered in the photograph.
Hey Kajal! Nice photos!! #13 is very nice! I love the pattern of the glasses against the pattern of the red chair. The pattern in #8 is very neat too! Paired along with the wood in the photo! I think your POW would be #13! I just love this close up of these glasses! It looks like a vintage photo! Very nice work!
POW 6 i like how its such a simple composition but has so much mystery and the bow is the only true color in the photo so it holds a lot of weight and character
lot of interesting close ups and patterns going on here, which i like because most of the colors are complimentary and contrasting. self portrait one is cool because of the reflection with the distortion of the mirror
Hey Kajal. I love photo 10 for its use of color and light. I think your POW is self portrait photo 3. The grit and dirt on the mirror really crates layers in this shot and helps define the mood. I also love that your phone ends up in the photo. Even though this is typically "selfie" I think the content of the rest of the photo helps it to escape from that dynamic. Its very candid and has me wondering what you were thinking.
I really enjoyed looking through your collection. My favorite one and my suggestion for your POW would be number 9. It has obvious color and has immense passion. The subject is highly controversial-- pills that look like colorful candy. It is a very loaded picture and I also like how it is centered. Very well done! I also like photo number 8 because it is very colorful but not overdone. Nice!
POW:14 I like how the colors and lack of colors play off of one another and makes the graffiti look 3D. Your patterns are interesting and I like how colorful some of your work is.
I really like the close up shots that you did. They provide unique vantage points to everyday objects, creating a very cool effect. For your POW I would pick number 8. I really like the geometry in the carpet pattern, and how the leg of the table or chair interrupts the pattern. I also really like the colors and how closely you shot the photo.
hi! I would pick #6 for POW. It is a really simple phto with great lightin gwhich creates wonderful shadows. Also the placement of teh bow in the picture makes the picture more interesting than it would have been it yu'd decided to center it.
