Hey Kristi! Nice pictures! I think that your POW should be 13. This picture is stunning. It provides great colors with the graffiti contrasted against the tan walls and floor. It also has a lot of depth and dimension. It takes my eyes from one "level" to another in the photo. It starts with the first doorway and leads my eye back down the hall.
Hey ! I love a lot of your photos! Really good job! I enjoy your use of lighting and the variety of your shots. You played with angles well and I really enjoy the texture that you got out of a lot of your photos. My POW is your self portrait of half of your face which is number 7. This technique creates mystery but a simple beauty at the same time. I really like the color of this photo too and how it has a vintage type editing quality.
Hi Kristi, cool photos! I like how you have different themes and you manage to make your photographs have a mysterious side. I think your POW should be #3. I like how you were able to catch the the shadows and still have a nice color contrast. Good job! :)
The Construction of the work: The shot uses visual and technical tools such as super awesome filters/FX/editing, lighting, forms like line and shape, and awesome shadows to make it more dynamic and mysterious.
The Communication of the work: The photographs can all be read well. Ill mention #4 and #5 because I feel like they relate to each other. I feel like the hallway light photo would be taken in that house in the photo #5. They both are spooky as hell, and really creepy to imagine being in in real life. I can imagine a haunting story out of just these two photos!
The Conception of the work: The photographs are mainly about different things, but I can assume that some are about your interests which are nice.
POW - #4 because of its spookiness. Totally waiting for a ghost to orb around while im looking at it!
i like the depth you developed in a lot of the photos by shooting from a distance. nice perspectives are developed from this style and take advantage of empty space and give it meaning. interesting style of color too, while some are muted and flat, other photos are very vibrant and highly saturated.
Hey Kristi, I really liked how you used the natural sunlight in so many of your photos. The light struck so many of the items in your photo beautifully, and it helped to create some awesome shadows. Your POW was #7. Your captured this self portrait and such an unusual angle and I really liked that it was positioned to the right. It is hard to read your facial expression without your eyes included so it adds a bit of mystery for me. Additionally, the white wall in the background contrasted extremely well with your face and hair.
Hey Kristi. You have a lot of great photos here. I really like 13. I know the Professor said that food shots tend to be cliche' but, I think this photo does a great job of catching color and is framed very well. I also think photo 13 is a great example of color and also about time. You get a real strong sense of grit and history and the passing of time from this shot. however, I think your POW is photo 4, which is ironic because it has very little color in it but, what a great use of light and mystery. Absolutely gives a sense of movement and of impending action. This is a very clever shot.
Hi Kristi! I really liked your photos this week. I love photo 9 because the watch is looked at from that person's perspective so as the audience, I get the feeling that I'm being rushed because I'm so concerned with looking at the watch, keeping track of time.
I love #12 with the dream catcher. Although this topic was color and there is very little color used in this picture, it works well. The framing in the shot brings my eye right to the small spots of bold color. I think you did a great job capturing this photo.
I think your POW should be #13. I absolutely love the depth that being under the bridge gives this picture. The striking angles and the bold graffiti gives the picture an exciting, fun feeling even though it is a concrete wall, surrounded by gravel/rocks and a totally natural environment. Great job!
Hey girl, nice collection! My POW suggestion would be number 10. It is abstract yet has a very warm color and is full of passion. The abstract quality allows my mind to wander in what is going on here- which fuels the passion aspect. I also like number 13 because it is a colorful, simple photo of a sandwich that is very colorful yet not over processed. Awesome!
Kristi! I love all of your photos! I love the consistency of bright colors throughout all of your photos. They are really fun and interesting to look at. I definitely think your POW is picture 13 with the graffiti. This photograph is so vibrant. I love the bright colors of the graffiti on the wall in contrast with the dark doorways through the center of the photograph. I love how the long, mysterious hallway brings me right into the photo. It creates such a great sense of depth. Great job!
Hi Kristi! I'd pick #4 as POW. This photo is very eery. The light coming from the dorway is perfect and the angel from which you took the shot is almost as if the viewer is peeking from around ac orner to see what emerges from the door. Very cool shot!
