  1. I really like how all of your photos really tell a story about you as a person. I feel as if I am a part of a slice of your life while viewing your photos. This creates a very cohesive look as a whole collection. I have lots of favorites out of your photos, but I really think your POW is photo number 2. This picture to me is an excellent use of focus and blur and is very different from everything else that has been posted so far in class. This technique pulls the viewer in and makes the viewer pause to figure out the photo. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hey Steve! Numbers 2, 3, and 4 are definitely my favorites of yours this week. In these I found that you captured not only a variety of lighting contrasts but also some phenomenal colors. I love the reflective green light in the windows of the building in 3 and the contrast of the night sky and the street in 4 is beautiful. I love the point of view of this one as well, it drew the eye back and created a lot of depth. POW is 3 or 4 for me. Great job!

  3. Hi Steve, nice photos! your photos tell me you're very artistic. I always find it hard to figure out how to angle my shots and even what to shot. You managed to get really cool shots of every day life things. Your colors and lighting mix is really nice! I think your POW should be #5. I really like all the colors in this photo and the contrast. Good job! :)

  4. POW 4

nice point of view used in almost all of the shots, makes for interesting compositions.
light vs dark worked well here and wide range of color was developed.
good incorporation of a strong understanding of b&w bridged into color.

  5. Hey Steve, very nice photos! I think #17 is neat because of the angle, the color of your sweater, pattern of your hat and the texture of your skateboard. #6 is interesting because it looks like it could be black and white, but then it has that pop of red - very mysterious! In my opinion, I believe your POW is #4. That is the most beautiful I have ever seen Cecil B. Moore! I love the colors of the sky and the reflection on the road. Very nice work!

  6. Hey Steve. You are definitely one of the better photographers in this class. You have a very keen eye and a great understanding of what each assignment is attempting to capture. Its actually hard to narrow it down with you because most of your photos could be POW's. I love 19 for its exploration in red as well as its sense of mystery and its framing. 14 does a GREAT job telling a story and makes me wonder what happened before and after that moment of working out. If I had to pic a POW I am completely torn between 3 and 4. 3 really relates time and creates a "passing of time" feeling. 3 is urban and stark and gentle and haunting all at the same time. I'm not sure what filters you used in these two photos but, they are really special..bravo!

  7. Your POW is #4. I am not even sure how you captured this photo, but it is incredible. The sunset that contrasts with the dark road, houses, and trees is beautiful, and I particularly like how the sunlight reflects on a portion of the street. There are so many great aspects to this photo. Good work.

  8. Your collection seems pretty uniform for the most part. You have unique items ans use angles, and depth to your advantage. There's a lot of comparison between most of your photos. Your POW is 6. The fact that the subject of the picture is off center, and to the side is unique and captures my attention more than any of the other pictures. I like how the only color involved in the photograph is revealed through the usage of the light. The illumination on the wall to draw attention to the red and the outline of the lamp defines the picture. It seems like there's mystery, like you don't want us to know what's in the rest of the setting.

  9. Hi Steve! I don't even know where to begin because I think almost all of your photos could be used as your POW. They are all really incredible.

I think 1-4 show the most amounts of creativity and the framing works nicely with each. I love the contrasting colors in #1 and the way you've framed them creates a layered illusion. The camera equipment shows passion and the skating shows it too, whether or not it's your passion, the passion is there with someone else who is doing the shooting/skating.

I think your POW is #3. I love that the building is brighter than the snow because of, what I assume is, a shadow to darken the bright white. The texture of the building gives the photo more colors and shadows to work with and I think that you used it very well. Great pictures this week, they were all wonderful.

  10. Awesome collection here! I like how you are not afraid to play with lighting and angles. Many of your photos contain a lot of passion and color. Your play on angles in turn creates something very interesting out of once recognizable objects like number 12 of the bottle. My POW suggestion for you would be number 2. You can see some amazing warm colors and passion for what I'm assuming would be skating. The angle conveys great leading lines and makes me want to hop on a skateboard and try it for myself. Full of passion! Nice work.

  11. POW = 2
You had many creative photos there were very abstract that had great passion and color. #4 you created a great depth of field by making the colored lights extremely blurry behind the black background.

There is a diminishing perspective going on in # 2 The railing appears to get smaller and smaller the further away it is placed from the lens, even though the railing is the same width. It appears to be much larger in the foreground of the frame and then continues to get smaller as it continues to move towards the background. You were able to get a great sense of depth in this shot.

  12. Hi Steve, the pictures which stood out to me the most in your collection are 2, 4, & 8. #8 is just a very simple, clean, and clear. In #2 the angle is very cool and creates good dynamics. Alos the sunlight that enters the shot creates very nice warm elements. I would pick #4 as your POW. I like how the photo is taken from teh middle of teh street which creates a sense of symmetry in the photo. Also, the colors and lighting in this picture of spectacular. You were able to capture a great sunset picture without making that the sole focus of the picture.
