  1. Hey Megan! Really neat photos! I don't know if you were trying for a theme but I kind of noticed one. I like that a lot of your pictures use very plain colors and then have one certain thing that is bright and directs the eye of the viewer. I think your POW should be 6. I really like how almost everything in the photo is white except for the Temple Flags. This contrast is really great.

  2. I really like the variety of photos that you have posted. I think your POW should be 9 because I think it is a very unique shot and contains a mystery. I like how the background is so dark with a pop of orange as the bucket. I really like how there is depth in the background but it doesn't take away from the well placed subject.

  3. Hey Megan!
Really liked your pictures and liked that you shot more neutral colors. Number 8 really stood out to me though and I don't know if it is because it's one of the ones that has more color than the rest of them or just the angle that it is taken with the lighting coming into the room. I think that this one should be your POW.

  4. Hey Megan, you have a really nice variety of photos this week with nice pops of color. Photos 9 and 11 were my favorite of the bunch because I really like the environment for each of these photos. Photograph 9 is your POW because there is a sense of mystery that comes from the dark shadows in your photograph. Additionally, the orange is a nice pop of color in contrast to the neutrals found in the stones.

  5. pow 6, since everything is so white the red flags really stand out and almost looked photoshop'ed, minimalistic color goes a long way here, and intensifies the composition

semi-theme of interior architecture and furniture, i like the stairs in few of the photos, stairs always make nice things to shoot because of their geometry at some angles.
really like 9 too, gives a strong sense of mystery with the mop bucket in the middle of the night, seems a little erie and dark, which adds to the character of the photo, implying theres something more to what is seen

  6. I love photos 10 and 11 for framing, angle and color. 11 is a great example of tonal variation within a single spectrum of color and is framed to make that room very inviting. 10 does a great job of turning something very ordinary into a piece of art. I think 12 has a great use of color but, I think your POW is photo 3. You captured something very candid with this shot. It expresses passion and emotion and tells a story.

  7. Megan, I like that a lot of your photos have a theme of more bland colors, like white and beige. It is unique that instead of focusing on bright colors, the less bright colors are more prominent. Your POW is 11 because of the lights and the staircase, there is definitely a sense of mystery there.

  8. Hey Megan! Great pictures. I really love the diversity throughout your shots. The two photos that really stood out to me were shots 11 and 12. I love the mystery in shot 12. It's not clear what exactly is going on in the photograph, but that is what makes you question what is happening in the shot. The bright, vibrant colors are what held my gaze. I would have to say that your POW however is photo 11 of the staircase.I really enjoy the soft earthy tones in the photo. The lighting in the picture adds so much texture and dimension as well. I love bright yellow light beneath the staircase in contrast with the darker brown tones on the staircase itself.

  9. Your play on light and point of views makes regular situations seem interesting. Your angles really bring out the subjects in your shoot. I love how your pictures vary in situation. POW: 10 because it has everything in one

  10. Hi Megan! I think you have a great collection of pictures here. I really like how you frame your pictures. You have a great use of the rule of thirds and have a good sense of patterns to attract the eye.

I think your POW is #10. I absolutely love the lines between the different colors, textures, and patterns on the steps/rail/wall all guiding my eyes to the top left where the pattern of the floor is so different from the others in the picture. I also really like that the colors are mostly neutral with the exception of the yellow that takes up the majority of the colors.

  11. POW = 9

I love the contrast between the dark grunginess of the outside of the building with the bright orange bucket. It makes me wonder what is going on in this photo. This photo definitely tells me a story. To be honest, it looks like it came out of a horror movie of some sort. I also like how you captured horizontal lines on the floor, vertical lines on the railing, and then more horizontal lines on the wall. It carries the viewers eye across the photo. I also like the contrast between the darkness in the background and the light in the forefront. This picture is very mysterious.

  12. My favorite phtos here are # 15, 11, and 9. In # 9 the phtoto is just very mysertious and you did a great job of capturing that. #15 is very well framed. THe green elephant is the only bright color in the room and is mismatched with all of the other elements which make the photo very interesting. I would select #11 as your POW because there is just so much going on in the picture but it is all still perfectly balanced. The staircase is already very interesting by itsel fbut combined with the whole scene its great. There also seems to be a slight grain to the picture which I enjoyed.
