I couldn't help but pick your best as #2. I walk past this spot everyday to and from class. I did not realize this until looking at your blog a few times. I think it is because you shot this from a very different angle and viewpoint. You chose to shoot this panoramic at a lower angle, compared to a normal eye's view or a high angle. I also like the way you took the panoramic in general. The fence curves in this shot, when in real life it is obviously not bent. You gave me a new perspective on how things can potentially look different on the street if you look at it in different ways.
Hi Megan. I really like photos 8 and 10, as well as your self portrait 2. I like all the color balance on this photo and the angle you chose for this photo. You were able to capture movement in this photo and make it work. Good job!
Great photos Megan. I really like 9 and think that this is your POW. I really like the way the building looks spherical even though it is not. I also think that this is a good representation of a panorama shot. I like the contrast between the blue sky and the brick of the building. The colors really pop!
Hey Megan, your POW is 2. I love how the panorama skewed the photograph towards the right side of the photograph, it gives it an entirely different vibe. I like that you captured the environment of the building by showing the fence and other houses. It has great tonal quality too.
pow = 1, i really like the sense of motion and the overall composition. it reminds me of brooklyn in the 80's and has somewhat of a "vintage" look and feel to it. interesting how most of the color is concentrated in the top left and it bleeds out into the rest of the composition.
i also really enjoy 9, there is something very clean and crisp about it, and there is a nice contrast relationship in the monochromatic foreground compare to the sky in the background that brings life into the photo
Hi Megan. I really liked self-portrait 2. It very ghostly and conveys some real mystery and also shows good use of technique. I think your POW is photo 2. I love how you turned the angle up at the fence and created a bend in the photo. That made this particular panorama much more unique and artistic.
Your POW is your self portrait number 1. I liked the brightness and the blurred elements in that photo. All of your photos are very bright but not overly so, you really captured light very well. I also like photo number 5 because the idea of that photo is really cool.
Hi Megan, I really like your collection! Number 2 should be your POW for a number of reasons. It is consistent with the rest of your collection, as you can see there is a style to this assignment. But most importantly, I think the patterns and colors you have chosen are really great and striking. It is very elegant yet strong. The way the plants lay with the abstract features of the face is beautiful. Very well done with that photo as well as your entire collection!
I think photo 9 is your POW. It has very interesting colors and the panorama gave an interesting curve to the building. I also liked how sharp and HD the photo looked. Another photo that really stood out to me was photo 4. I really like the blur and color effect brought into the panorama. I think it is really cool that that guy in the photo appears to be taking a photograph, making this a photo of someone taking a photo. He also looks very attractive, as he seems to be the central focus of the photograph. Good work.
Hi Megan! I really like your photos this week. I think your POW should be your second self-portrait. I love the colors and the patterns that are created by the overlay of the photos. They are really striking and catch my eye immediately.
I also really like your photo #2, the panorama with the fence. The curves create such a unique look and that adds a lot to the photo that you wouldn't get if it was a straight on photo of the fence. Great job!
Really liked how you did your self portraits! I would say your POW would be number 5 though. It's something that people would have never thought to take a picture of but the changing of the numbers looks really cool. It reminds me of like a movie or cartoon where they're waiting for something to happen and watching the clock or calendar. Number 8 is also a really good photo as well.
Hey, You had a really great grasp on this project, and nailed it down well! All of your photos were great, and had me really looking. To be honest, there were quite a few that were super clear, with a lot of detail, and perfectly balanced with contrast and exposure - and they were my favorites...well, they caught my attention the most thats for sure. Your POW is #2 because of how unique it is. The wave is super interesting, and like I said, Im attracted to that detail you had in a lot of these...this one was definitely one of them!
Hey!! You have some really awesome pictures for this weeks topic. One thing I noticed is how your photos have such an intense sense of energy. I really liked that. You really used the slow motion camera well and creative images with a lot of personality. I feel like I myself am a part of those shots. I would have to say that your POW is photo number 3. I think it's really interesting how you chose to do a close-up shot of the running water. With the use of the slow motion camera, it seems as though I am watching the water run in a still picture. Really cool. Nice work!
Hi Megan! Your POW is 2. I like how when you look at it from left to right, the wall appears to be the central focus even though it is on the side. It seems like you wanted that to be the main subject of the photo and the houses on the right added a far and unique background. What I really appreciate about the photo is that the subject did not have to be centered in order for us to realize what was the pinpoint of the picture. Starting zoomed in and continuing zoomed out offered a lot of uniqueness in the photograph. Loved it again! Also, great usage of color and composure throughout the collection. Great job!
POW 2
