Hi Laura. Great photos! I love photo 6 for the perspective of a city street in a way that one might not normally view it. Photo 7 left me wondering just what technique you used to create it. I also loved how several of your photos used light and long exposure times to create artistic images and patterns. I must say though, self portrait 2 is just fantastic and I think that is your POW. What a haunting image. The way you used the extended exposure to remove your face from the photo created something VERY spiritual and mystic. I really love the mystery in this photo.
Hey Laura. Good job on your photos! I really like 2 and 5. The lighting acts as the paralleling force between the two separate pictures. I like how the light is manipulating the setting, making it unable to make out what is actually going on in the photo. I really think that sense of mystery is absolutely creative and mystic. MY POW for your collection would be 3. The color of the lighting is fascinating and the exposure distorts the picture in a really enticing way.
Hey Laura, I think that your POW is photo 6. I like the way you used the panoramic feature to skew the way the building and street appear. It gives a neat perspective of what we usually see. I also think the coloring of this picture is really nice. I also think photo one is really cool. I like how a lot of your collection focuses on different kinds of light.
Hi Laura! One of your pictures stood out right away to me. I love photo #1. To me it looks like a lightbulb, but I love how the motion in the picture gives it the look of almost an oil painting. It's really interesting how it turned out but I really like it!
I think your POW should be #8. I love the angle that you chose as the panorama. Using the cables to give more patterns in the picture was a great choice. I like that the height of the picture is extended because you chose to only shoot the tops of the houses since you were getting the sky.
Hello Laura! I really liked photo 11 and 8. Photo 11 really captures the stairs in an interesting way. It creates a cool dichotomy of the house being photographed. The railings in the photograph add an interesting contrast to the bright room. I think I would choose photo 8 as your POW. The curve created on the cables in the panorama is very cool, as are the interesting curves on the houses. Overall these photos are really great, keep up the good work.
Hi Laura! I see that within your collection you focused a lot on abstraction (with light?) mostly which I thought was much different than the rest of the class. I like the symmetry found in some however the ones I found most interesting were the spherical images such as 1, 5 and 13. I also really enjoyed the panoramic photos 8 and 11. I think you captured interesting angles with lines of buildings and stair/hallways that creating a lot of depth and made the eye look deeper/longer. POW for me is 8. I like the morphed line of the buildings against the sky contrasting with the line of the telephone wire.
Hey Laura! Really great pics for this topic. What I noticed most about your pictures were the interesting angles that you chose, for example in photos 11 and 8. This helped to give a variety of perspectives rather than simply shots straight on. I also love use of light in a couple of your photos. I was trying to figure out how to do this myself and couldn't quite figure it out, so great job with that. I would have to say that for me your POW is picture number 8. The bold colors on the buildings pop well against the bright blue sky. I also think that the perspective of the shot is done really interestingly. That was a very clever use of a panoramic shot. Great Job!
Really liked your collection and many of them had me looking at them a few times to see what they were. Numbers 1-5 really had me looking because they were so interesting. I would say any one of them could be your POW but my personal favorite for that would be number 5. I think it is smoke but I'm not really sure but I jus love how it pops out and really draws you in! Great job!
Good pictures Laura. Although you did a good job using different shutter settings to create interesting pictures, I would choose number 6 as your POW. The picture is clear and captures a large area. I really feel as though my sight has been expanded to see more than I normally would.
Pow: 11 I love the point of view and the use of lighting in your photos. You manage to capture a good amount of scenes and different point of views. Your colors are a little gloomy, but at the same time they don't give me the feeling of eeeriness. Your pictures does catch your attention
