  1. Hello! I really like your use of color throughout your photos. My favorite technique that you utilized was laying together different scenes to create your images. The way that you exposed certain things for different lengths of time really captured the eye and forces the viewer to look for identifiable objects and subjects in your work. If I were to give constructive criticism, it would be to actually remove the titles from your work next time. Your titles prompt the viewer to look for that object in your work and take away from the mystery of your picture as a whole. Don't be afraid to let the viewer interpret something in a different way then you originally saw it. [: That being said, my choice for your POW would be photo number 9. I really like the way the photo looks as if it were layered very lightly. It draws me as a viewer in.

  2. Hey Lindsay! Nice Pictures. I really like your graffiti photo and I think that one is your POW. You really captured the paranormal aspect of this assignment and going beyond what the eye can see. With photo 1, the lighting and color make it look like an infinite portal. Really cool!!

  3. Hi Lindsay, I love your photos! they're very creative. I like how you used a lot of different colors and the creativity behind each of your photos. I really like picture #5, the technique here is perfect. I like how you angled the photo and the color of the photo. There is a story behind this photograph. Photo #5 is definitely your POW.

  4. pow = 12, interesting because it has the effect of the cars looking like miniature figures. I'm not sure if you have ever seen this style of video/photo but its awesome, heres a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er2Wa7onQcw

your photos have a lot of blur, this reminds me of heavy heat in philly, like some type of smog or humidity, but not in a miserable way because i think your photos are artistic. i like the concept behind some of the layering techniques you used too, especially in the monochromatic city picture (5) because it give a feeling of coolness due to the saturation of the purple, but it also has a nice texture because of the layers and it adds a nice element to the photo. conceptually i also like 17 because i feel as if the streets are always covered in trash, even when they are not haha

  5. Hi Lindsay! You have a few really intriguing photos this week, which is great! There are many that make me just want to know how that picture was done. They make me wonder (4, 9, and 12). I love #4 because the focal point of the picture is the lemon and it truly stands out because it's the largest pop of color. However, there are so many things happening around it also. I think your POW should be #4. Finally, I really like the final product of #17. One part of the picture paints a beautiful picture and place to live and the other shows the grimy side of the area too. It's great!

  6. Your POW is photo number 5 because of the colors and the way the photo is composed. I think layering the photo like that was an awesome idea. I also like photo number 12 because of how the colors and the brightness blur together to make an interesting looking view. Your use of the slow shutter speed is very cool!

  7. I really like 1, 8, and 17. Your use of bright colors works really well with the blurring effect. All of your photographs actually share that unique colorization. I would pick photo 1 for your POW. I really like the colors of the graffiti and how you really made them pop. I also like the use of brightness, and how the photo sort of fades at the edges.

  8. Hey Linds 1, 5, 6, and 9 were your best for me within this collection. I think you did a good job creating a similar style and theme within all your images. There is a lot of aspects of light and color that captured my attention. I think my POW for you is number 1. The way you framed the object or alleyway here is very interesting. You cannot see the alley so there is mystery as to what is back there and what is creating the rich light in the background. Good work!

  9. Hi Lindsay , you had a good use of colors in your pictures. In some the lighting was a bit harsh but it also added an unique element. My favorite photo would be #17. I really enjoy how faded the trash is making it almost seem like an ad for a cleaner Philadelphia.

  10. Hey Lindsay, great photos! I like the way you edited your pictures and how a lot of them have that blurry, dreamy factor to them. Your layering is also very good! Especially in #17! I think your POW would be #5. I love how you layered the city sidewalk with the building!

  11. Pow: 5
I love the different scenarios that you choose for this assignment. The way you overlapped the different scenes made for very interesting portraits. Layering the structures with the movements around them make for different interpretations. Your pictures give off emotion and also mystery.

  12. Hi Jasmine. You seem to have a real theme going here. I like the photos called "City" and "walking". I also really like your self-portrait 1 for the crazy image the exposure created. If I had to pick one (many of them are really good) I would say 5 is your POW. I love the exposure of the ghostly close-up of the buildings wiped across the full building shot. Very creative and artistic.
