Awesome photos this week! I like how you were able to include such a large spatial environment in photograph 3. It is nice placing of the staircase at the left hand side of the image. Your POW 10. Similar to photograph three, you have great placement of people in the photograph and the background environment is very interesting. You have vibrant colors are well.
Hi Rita. I like your self-portraits. Working backward I really like photos 14 and 13 for the way they turned something mundane into something artistic. You captured motion in a way that conveys action. Photos 12, 10 and 8 are all just wonderful pieces of art. 8 is a true action shot, and 12 makes me think of a few "trips" I've taken. Additionally 12 is a very colorful and artistic piece. Photo 10 is your POW. I love how you captured this moment in time. I want to be on that rooftop, hearing that song and feeling the vibe of that moment. This photo allows the viewer to join in a moment that most of us would otherwise never be a part of and invited us into an intimate experience. I really liked this one!
pow = 14 the opacity of the liquid is perfect and the sense of motion is developed to the point where it looks impossible to capture on camera, or looks like a water painting. super simple concept that was executed so well here.
very strong motion pictures in your collection especially 7 and 8. the motion captured gives me a feeling of arriving too late or getting away. the colors in the composition are developed well and interesting and the subway has nice geometry, while the grass/sky/bridge photo has great mystery
Hey Rita! I really enjoyed your self portraits in this collection. I think you successfully used techniques of slow shutter to capture different angles and points of view of yourself. I also enjoyed images 10, 7, and 1. 10 is a great panoramic like multiple have mentioned before. You caught a great angle and I find that the colors play a large role in its mystique. I really like the blur and vagueness found in number 7 and it also looks like it has some kind of matte finish which creates a dullness or emptiness that I thought was also very cool. I think these is my POW for you, it seems like a interesting spot.
Hey Reet! Awesome collection, I think you really thrived with this assignment. I like how throughout your collection, you kept your eye out for interesting and creative signs of extended seeing whether it be through movement (the hula hoop and the sink) or through other means like the panorama shots. I think your POW should be number 10 because I think it really encompasses the assignment. There are multiple perspectives of extended seeing. Will is in the forefront while I am in the background and then there is another perspective with the row homes and the roof. I think this is your best collection yet!
POW is by far # 8. You used a slow shutter speed (aka-longer exposure) to catch the motion of the train passing by. Something as simple as a train can be shot in motion, using a longer exposure just as you did. I like how the train looks like it is moving at the speed of light, yet the person in the background seems motionless, or stuck in time. This creates a very mysterious, breathtaking image that really shows a different visual dimension outside of what we normally see in this world.
I think your POW should be number 8. By catching the motion of the train in your picture and having the platform more in focus it really caught my attention. I think it is a really interesting picture and my eyes just kept going to this picture. I also really like number 5 because you got the door and the person in motion and I think getting them both together was a really cool idea.
Hey Rita! Great pictures, I am loving your collection this week! I would have to say your POW is definitely 8. The train in motion makes the photograph look like its actualy moving. I love the silohette of the person as well in the picture. It adds more mystery to the picture. Overall, that is my favorite. I also love the colors in your collection. They are warm enough to had vivaciousness to each photograph but are not "too much". I really also enjoyed how your collection comes together through movement, all of them seem like they belong together through color and motion.
Pow: 10 Your pictures give off different perspectives, motion, and emotions. The use of colors and space intrigues the viewer. The colors are the icing to the cake. #10 really went above and beyond, it was amazing that you were able to catch that scene. It was very creative I wouldn't have thought of that scenary.
